My son has been diagnosed with autism and a non verbal which according to his therapist is an apraxia disorder. He is now 7 years and 10 mos. Would it help if he undergoes therapy like the ones you're offering. We live in the Philippines, do you have any outlet here or at the least do you offer your programs through CD, where can we avail such? Please advise. thank you.

R     Apr, Friday 25th by National Light & Sound Therapy
We offer a unique program of three therapies and it is not available anywhere else. We do not recommend CDs as each child needs a tailored program. It would help if you fill in the questionnaire on the website so we have more information and will then be able to advise whether our treatment could benefit.

My 13yr son is autistic but also has epilepsy. We did some AIT with him when he was about 3yrs old. I'd like to know if it would be okay to do AIT if suffering from epilepsy and if so, has the centre any experience of treating children with both autism and epilepsy. Look forward to your reply.

R     Jan, Thursday 10th by National Light & Sound Therapy
We have had experience with children with autism and epilepsy. Our light therapy is suitable for epileptics as it has no flashing lights. If you send me more details about your son, we could advise further.

AIT PLUS is a method of stimulating the brain through the eyes and through the ears. Whatever the diagnosis or difficulty, if the brain can be made to work more efficiently and effectively, then there is a chance of improving the disability. If you fill in the questionnaire on the website, and give more details about your sister, I will be able to advise whether we can help her or not.

Hi, I work with a gentleman who has Aspergers Syndrome, he finds it very difficult to open his eyes and he is afraid that another ritual might start for him, lines cause him problems, currently he chooses to wear a blindfold to cut out all light, I was wondering whether there is anything we can do to support him with this?

R     Jun, Monday 4th by Sally Giakalis
Has this gentleman been tested for Irlen Syndrome? This is specifically to do with light and visual sensitivities and involves being tested for coloured glasses that will screen out the part of the light spectrum that is causing him problems. There have been very dramatic results for some autistic individuals who have had these glasses. You can find lots of information on the web, and there are registered practioners in the UK.

R     Apr, Monday 30th by Zelda Landau
He appears to be extremely sensitive to light. Our treatment can deal with this in a two week course of Light Therapy which can often help this type of difficulty. If you telephone we can discuss it in more detail: 0208 880 1269

If this problem persists it would be a good idea to have her hearing tested professionally. She may be sensitive to certain frequencies, she may hear differently in each ear.
